Mexico: "Mexico catches escapees from island penal colony"Associated Press, 26 November 2011Six inmates, attempting to escape from a penal colony using empty water containers and wooden planks, were captured by naval forces off the shores of Puerto Vallarta on Thursday. Local authorities reportedly arrested the men after receiving a tip from local boaters who spotted the escapees 90 kilometres from the penal colony in the Marías Islands, the only such detention facility in the Americas.
