Leader of the Pirate Group Escapes Police Dragnet

Police in Somalia’s semi-autonomous region of Puntland have arrested 9 Somali pirates in Eyl District, Nugaal region, senior police officials said on Sunday.
The pirates were seized during a security swoop carried out late on Saturday, police said.
According to the sources, the leader of the pirate group called Garaad escaped the police dragnet.
