Egypt: Country, Arab, African Countries Thwart Plan to Enter Red Sea in Piracy Belt

The Egyptian delegation was able in the meetings of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) that was held in the capital of London to thwart a plan to enter the Red Sea in the belt piracy that extends from the Gulf of Aden in the south to the Gulf of Suez in the north. This step, if implemented, would represent a serious and negative impact on the traffic through the Suez Canal.
