NATO Shipping Centre today reports an attempted hijacking in the Arabian Sea/Indian Ocean. According to the report, a merchant vessel underway in position 15.02N-056.39E came under attack by one skiff with an unknown number of occupants at 08:20 UTC.
The report states that the merchant vessel was the subject of an attempted boarding, but that the pirates have since ceased their attack.
