Vessel Owner Allegedly Paid Only $600,000 Ransom

Somali pirates have released an Italian-flagged oil tanker and its crew members, after allegedly receiving a paltry $600,000 in ransom money, reliable sources told Somalia Report on Saturday.
MV Rosalia D'Amato, which has been in captivity for seven months, was seized by the pirates in April, approximately 350NM South East of Salalah, in the Indian Ocean.
