The IMB's Live Piracy Reporting Centre has details of a third attempted attack in the Southern Red Sea from Wednesday Septemember 28th. According to the report, at 1145 UTC, a chemical tanker underway at position 14:02.5N-042:49.0E spotted four pirates in a white coloured skiff who pursued and fired upon the chemical tanker.
The vessel's Master raised the alarm and the vessel took evasive manouevres and contacted the authorities for assistance. The pirates aborted the attack due to the
