The IMB's Live Piracy Reporting Centre carries details of the following attack today, Sept. 28th. A chemical tanker underway at position 14:06N-042:59E was pursued by pirates in three skiffs at 1230 UTC.
The occupants of one skiff fired an RPG and attempted to board the tanker. The Master took evasive manouevres and contacted authorites for assistance. The pirates chased the tanker for 15 minutes and aborted the attack due to the hardening measures employed by the tanker.
