THE Minister of Transport, Sen. Idris Umar, has directed immediate deployment of the 12 gun boats purchased recently by the Federal Government at a cost of N730 million (4.865 million dollars).
The minister, who gave the directive in Lokoja on Saturday while inaugurating the patrol boat, expressed the determination of the government to provide maximum security for users of the nation's inland waterways.
