Central Region Joins Anti-Piracy Fight

Militias from Somalia's semi-autonomous region Galmudug have arrested eight Somali pirates and their equipment, including guns and a car, in Galkayo. The pirates were seized during a security sweep carried out in south Galkayo, which is under the control of Galmudug State (north Galkayo falls under the jurisdiction of the semi-automous region of Puntland).
