SASEBO, Japan - Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) senior leaders visited the amphibious transport dock ship USS Denver (LPD 9) Dec. 22.
Capt. Mike Wettlaufer, Denver’s commanding officer, led Rear Adm. Hideaki Yuasa and Capt. Tsutomu Okawa, commanding officer of JS Chokai (DDG 176) and other officials on a tour through the bridge, well deck, troop spaces and main machinery rooms.
