The IMB's Live Piracy Reporting Centre carries details of an attempted bandit attack at Lome Anchorage, Togo, in West Africa on September 24th.
The report states that two small boats closed on to the shipside of an anchored chemical tanker at position 06:01N-001:15E at 0130 UTC. The Duty Officer told the boats to move away, but was ignored. Later, two more boats were seen approaching the vessel from the stern and secured themselves to the chemical tanker's rudder. The Master
