The Pentagon is reportedly considering decommissioning one of its 11 Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers in a bid to find billions in savings over the next decade. Navy officials said they were looking at possibly cancelling the refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) of USS George Washington, the Yokosuka, Japan-based carrier, which is scheduled to take place in 2016.
