No Decision Made to Charge Captured Pirates, NATO Says

Bloomberg today reports that Italy has yet to make a decision as to whether they will prosecute the 11 pirates held by British and American naval forces yesterday in connection with the hijacking of the Italian-owned MV Montecristo.
The report states that personnel on an Italian warship will rendezvous with the freighter today and make a decision as to whether there is enough evidence to file charges, said Commander Geoff Bewley, the Northwood-based counter-piracy spokesman for NATO.
