German prosecutor demands jail terms in Somali pirate trial

The prosecutor in Germany's first piracy trial in 400 years demanded prison terms Wednesday for 10 Somalis accused of hijacking a Hamburg-registered ship off the Horn of Africa, an official said.
The 10 defendants, three of whom are being prosecuted as minors because they say they were under 18 at the time of the alleged offence, face between four and 11 and a half years in prison, a court spokesman said.
