NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - USS Arleigh Burke will be deploying from Naval Station Norfolk Monday to conduct counter-piracy operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
The destroyer returned from her last deployment on October 21, 2009, Navy officials said.
Most recently, she returned to Norfolk on Nov. 9, 2011 following Joint Warrior 11-2, a series of training exercises in Scotland and Mayport, Fla.
The ship, led by Cmdr. Corey Keniston, is the namesake
