The Russian navy has held joint exercises with NATO and EU warships in the Gulf of Aden.
The drills featured the Admiral Tributs anti-submarine destroyer of the Russian Pacific Fleet, which has been ensuring security of merchant vessels off the Somalia coast, as well as Turkish frigate TCG Giresun, Italy’s SPS Patino and USS Halsey.
Russian and NATO navy officials had a meeting to discuss cooperation as part of an anti-piracy campaign in the Gulf of Aden.
