NATO Shipping Centre today carries a report on merchant ship approached by pirates around 245nm off the Seychelles. The report states that the vessel was approached while underway in position 04.18S 059.59E at 0745Z.
Five armed pirates in a blue and white skiff made the approach, but the vessel evaded attack. The means employed were not available at the time of writing.
