Word has reached us via reliable sources that a merchant vessel came under attack on Feb 7th in position 16.03N 062.26E (approximately 520nm NE of Socotra Island) at around 1500 UTC from an unknown number of pirates.
It is believed that the merchant vessel, whose details are not currently known, was successfully pirated.
All vessels transiting the area are advised to exercise extreme caution.
