The IMB's Piracy Reporting Centre carries details of an attack on Tuesday against a fishing vessel off the coast of Oman.
According to the report, a fishing vessel operating approximately 35nm SW of Masirah Island, Oman, was attacked at 1930 LT by 12 armed pirates operating from a 20-foot dhow. The dhow was brown in colour and named as "Hander". The pirates took eight crew from the fishing vessel hostage, stole personal belongings, cash, two drums of diesel and all food on the vessel. The
