Britain's overstretched armed forces could collapse like a deck of cards if called into action again in the Middle East, a leading Westcountry maritime expert has warned.
Plymouth-based Steve Bush, who edits Warship World magazine, claims the recent crisis in Libya highlighted flaws in the Government's "ill-conceived" Strategic Defence and Security Review of October 2010, which reduced UK assets "to the bone."
