A judge ordered the transfer to Spain of Somali pirates arrested in Indian waters after an attack on a frigate participating in the European Union (EU) mission against piracy, Atalanta.
On the morning of Thursday, the battleship Patiño repelled an attack by a pirate boat.
As reported by the Ministry of Defence of Spain, the boat attempted to flee but was intercepted and six of the attackers were arrested, five of which were wounded.
