Paris - Five Somalis face prison time on piracy charges after a French court Wednesday found them guilty of taking a French couple hostage aboard their yacht in 2008.
The court also dropped charges against one man after he convinced the court that he was just a fisherman caught up in the event, reported the AFP news agency.
The five men who were sentenced received jail time ranging from four to eight years, less than the six to 16 demanded by prosecutors.
