The IMB's Piracy Reporting Centre carries a report of an attack yesterday on a crude carrier in the Gulf of Aden.
According to the report, the carrier was underway in position 12.36N-047.03E when it was approached and fired upon by two skiffs at 0820 UTC. The carrier's Master took evasive manouevres. The armed security team onboard fired warning shots ahead of the skiffs, which slowed down and returned fire, to which the security team responded. The skiffs aborted their attack and moved
