China to conduct naval exercises in Pacific

China has confirmed a series of naval exercises in the Pacific Ocean later this month after Japan reported six Chinese naval vessels navigating through waters near Okinawa.The vessels included an intelligence-gathering vessel, missile frigates and supply ships.The announcement of the Chinese exercises comes after US President Obama's diplomatic offensive in the region, to announce 'America's Pacific Century'.Martin Jacques is author of the global best-seller
