YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) -- Around 370 members of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force departed from the MSDF Yokosuka base Tuesday for antipiracy operations in the Gulf of Aden off Somalia from early November.
The MSDF personnel, aboard the MSDF destroyers Takanami and Onami, form the 10th unit for Japan's antipiracy operations in the area since March 2009.
