Jack Lloyd goes to sleep dreaming about pirates. His nightmares include yacht hi-jackings, icebergs in the southern ocean, medical emergencies and broken masts.
And they will go on every day for nine months from October.
Lloyd, who hails from Whangarei, is the race director of the Volvo Ocean Race, giving him overall control and responsibility of everything to do with the boats and the racing.
